Bio & contact

I'm Georgie, an artist, researcher, filmmaker and fan of talking animals. My work uses expanded forms of storytelling to reflect on our complex relationships with other animals and (un)living beings in an age of mass extinction. By entering my constructed worlds you may encounter a suicidal parakeet, a leech who is a poet or an ocean with a broken heart.
I am a member of studio collective Daisy Chain in The Hague. Since graduating from MA Artistic Research at the Royal Academy of Art, The Hague (KABK) in 2021, I have shared my work and research through institutions and initiatives including Kooman’s Poppentheater, Stedelijk Museum Breda, Stroom Den Haag, OtherWise, Het Nieuwe Instituut, Page Not Found, iii, and SEA Foundation. My practice has been supported by Stroom Den Haag, Mondriaan Fonds, Arts Council England and Gemeente Den Haag. From 2023-24, I was a member of the Design Lectorate Research Group at KABK and in 2025 a participant in the inaugural WET Small Film School in Rotterdam.
Alongside my practice, I work as the Research Coordinator of Lectorate FILM and Coordinator of MA Artistic Research KABK, and I teach ‘Cine-writing: Strategies of Essay Filmmaking’ at Leiden University.
